I met Jennifer seven years ago, when I was pregnant with my first daughter. Until then, I had only ever been a runner. Strength training felt like a chore to me, and at the same time, I was a little afraid of becoming too muscular.
Training with her throughout my first pregnancy made me understand how important it is to be strong, to train for strength, and especially how essential strength training is for women through every stage of our lives. I felt powerful! Strong! Healthy and ready for the birth of my daughter. She was born in March, and after those first few weeks of rest and following my doctor’s advice, I went back to training with Jennifer during my postpartum recovery. The difference it made was incredible, both physically and mentally. She supported me and guided me, not only physically but emotionally too.
I kept training with her. Then COVID came, followed by my second pregnancy and postpartum period. This time, because of the circumstances, we trained online. But the feeling was exactly the same: I felt strong in every possible way. And here we are today, still together. Jennifer in Australia and me in Spain. We continue training online, focusing on functional and hybrid training.
She is my coach, my trainer, and I feel incredibly lucky to still have the privilege of training with her. Training is my time - my moment for myself. I feel strong, and she has played such an important part in that. Without a doubt, I will continue to put my trust in Jennifer. She is an outstanding professional: attentive, supportive and always there when you need her. She somehow always knows exactly what to say to make you feel better when everything seems to be falling apart.
You can tell that she genuinely loves what she does. Above all, you can see how much fulfilment she gets from training women like me, supporting us and helping us become the strongest and best versions of ourselves.
